Roger Allen Powell

Roger Allen Powell, 57, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017 with his family by his side.
He was born December 6, 1959 in Warsaw, Indiana to Rozella (Lawrence) and William L. Powell.

Roger graduated from Charles Page High School in 1978. After high school, he went on to serve our country in the United States Coast Guard for almost three years.

For the past nine years, Roger was employed by Woodstock Cabinets as a custom cabinet builder.

He attended Mission Christian Church in Sand Springs, OK.

Roger loved to go fishing with his brother and was a huge Oklahoma University fan. He could often be found at the Sahoma Lanes in Sapulpa with some friends from high school where they were members of the Red Table bowling Kidz. Roger loved God, his family and his country.

He was preceded in death by his father, William L. Powell.

Survivors include his mother, Rozella (Lawrence) Powell; brothers, Robert Powell and his wife, Kelly of Tulsa, OK and Ross Powell of Sand springs, OK; nieces and nephews, Bobbi Jo Powell, Kiyah Dover, and William L Powell; great nieces and nephew, Annabelle, Tina and Seth.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service.

Service will be held Friday, October 6, 2017, 11:00 AM at Mission Christian Church, 400 E 12th Street, Sand Springs, Oklahoma 74063, with interment in Woodland Memorial Park, Sand Springs.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions to be made in Roger Allen Powell's name to Disabled American Veterans or Folds of Honor Foundation.
