Roberto Cantu Ybarra

February 12, 1969 — April 30, 2019

Roberto Cantu Ybarra received his wings on Monday, April 29, 2019, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

He was born February 12, 1969, in Wescalo, Texas. Roberto was a devoted brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his family so much! He tried to call and stay in contact with everyone he could. Roberts biological siblings reached out to him a few years ago he was so excited to love and learn about a new chapter in his life.

He was very young at heart.... A simple man, he enjoyed life, trying to put a smile on the face of everyone he met. He loved running and jumping into the lake, going camping, and climbing. He’s an 80s rocker, and a Seinfeld trivia superstar. Also, captain of the Spelling BEE. His hobbies included being a collector of silver rings, knives, and Dallas Cowboys memorabilia. He definitely loved swiping a pen from everywhere he went, and we definitely won’t run out of those!

Roberto’s accomplishments are beating cancer, not once but twice , working as an electrician, and enjoyed working the job he loves. The people he worked with also became his family. Traveling with them and even inviting them into our home.

Loving his family was his greatest accomplishment. He was very proud of having 11 grandchildren!

He was preceded in death by his father Reymundo Garza Ybarra.

Survivors include his mother Beatrice Ybarra, Texas, Wife Evelyn Ybarra, Children, Aurora (Juan) Rojo-Ybarra , Roberto Ybarra ( LaGina Bowens), Step-children Maria (Nick) West, Antonio (Jackie) Garcia, Siblings, Ray Ybarra, Gina Ybarra, Carlos Ybarra, Michael Zambrano, Irene Guerrero, Priscilla Guerrero, Gilbert Guerrero, Marcelino Guerrero, Grandchildren, 9 Girls and 2 Boys, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many many friends and loved ones. Robert will greatly missed!
