Robert Wayne Dunlap

Robert Wayne Dunlap, Tulsa resident, passed away Wednesday evening, July 25, 2018, with his family by his side, at the age of 72 years.

He was born February 23, 1946 in Longview, Texas to his parents, Phelan and Isabelle (Randall) Dunlap. Robert grew up and attended school in Longview, Texas.

Robert married the love of his life, Phyllis June Blair on November 26, 1965 in Longview, Texas. They celebrated over 52 years of marriage.

He served his country in the US Air Force for six years. Upon receiving his Honorable Discharge, he attended college at Stephen F. Austin State University where he was awarded a Master of Business Administration.

Robert worked in the Petroleum industry for Sunoco, Inc. He retired in October, 2004, after 29 years with the company.

Robert enjoyed many hobbies such as fly fishing, gardening, cycling and golfing. Bobby and June shared the love of traveling. Robert was affectionately called Grandad. He absolutely enjoyed the time he got to spend with his grandson, Bailey, and would not miss any of his soccer games.

Robert was a member of Boston Avenue Methodist Church.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents.

He leaves many loving memories with his family, wife June, daughter, Deborah, son, Jeffery, grandson, Bailey Dunlap, brother, David and wife, Polly, sister, Janet, as well as many other loving relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services for Robert will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Boston Avenue Methodist Church with Reverend Amy Venable officiating. Interment with Military Honors will be 1:30 pm at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.

Memorial donations may be made to the National Melanoma Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
