Robert Nelson Martin

A graveside service will be held honoring and remembering the life of Robert Nelson Martin on Saturday, October 6, 2018 10:30 AM at Okmulgee Cemetery. Robert passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018 in Stillwater, Oklahoma with his family by his side. He was 55.

On May 21st, 1963, Robert was born to Patrick Martin and Geneva Martin in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

He proudly served our country in the United States Army.

On May 20th, 2014, Robert married the love of his life, Linda Jobes Martin.

Robert's hard work paid off in 1993 when he successfully started his own business, Martin Concrete located in Stillwater, Oklahoma. When Robert wasn't working, he was often found spending time in the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting with his family and friends. Surprising to some, Robert also spent some of his spare time quilting. He was a great man that many will miss.

He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick Martin and brother, Patrick Martin.

Survivors include his loving wife, Linda Martin of Stillwater, OK; two daughters, Cherie Vassar of Coweta, OK and Jade Smith of Claremore, OK; one son, Jerade Smith of Sapulpa, OK and two step-sons, Blake Boles and Zack Boles, both of Stillwater, OK. He also leaves three sisters, Donna and her husband, David Duree, Leisa Brown of Bixby, OK, Michelle Bartlet-Etzel of Miami, OK and brother, Jonathan Barber of Okmulgee, OK.
