Rebecca Diane Moore

September 8, 1954 — August 8, 2022

Rebecca Diane Moore of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed away at the age of 67, surrounded by her loving family. Rebecca was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma on September 8, 1954 to Hallard and Patricia (Obuch) Randell. She married her high school sweetheart, Paul Moore, on January 6, 1973 in Stillwater, OK. The couple spent their honeymoon at the Camelot Hotel in Tulsa. Rebecca and Paul would have celebrated 50 years of marriage this upcoming January.

Rebecca found beauty by experiencing the world and connecting with her friends and family.
She loved to travel, from motorcycle trips in the mountains of Europe and America to beach trips with friends. An avowed history buff, she also cherished visits to anything old and historical, particularly in the UK and Europe. Her family would describe her as a spiritual role model, never wanting to be in the spotlight, and a dedicated mother who gave her whole heart to her family, especially after her son, Adam, had his accident at the age of 8. She spent the remaining 35 years of her life caring for Adam and being cared for by him. From traveling across the state and country in support of his book talks to spending time admiring sunsets together, Rebecca and Adam forged an unbreakable bond. In recent years, she shared the same amazing love, support and guidance with her grandchildren, whom she adored. The feeling was undoubtedly mutual.

Rebecca is survived by her husband Paul Moore, three sons Ryan (and wife Angela), Adam, and Tyler (and wife Jillian), four grandchildren Canten, Eloise, Oxley, and Edison, her parents Hallard and Patricia Randell, and sisters Melanie Roberson and Gayle Perkins. Her brother Russell Randell preceded her in death.

A public visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00PM on Thursday, August 11th at Schaudts Tulsa Funeral Service Chapel and a funeral service that will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, August 12th at the Sharp Memorial Chapel on the campus of the University of Tulsa, 800 S. Tucker Drive, Tulsa, OK, 74104.

Sharp Memorial Chapel is on the campus of the University of Tulsa. You may park in any lot on campus (while respecting traffic rules). Campus security has been informed and will not ticket anyone for not having a permit. The best place to park for those who are able to walk approximately 100 yards is the McFarlin Lot north of the chapel, which you can see here https://goo.gl/maps/o4pmxdTJ8pzFiC4s5. We strongly recommend following this link for navigation, since the chapel itself shares its address with the whole university. Those who need a shorter walk, or require a handicap-accessible entrance, can be dropped off just south of the chapel near Bayless Plaza (https://goo.gl/maps/NtzMkxTkernPxYex6).
