Patricia Ellen Willitt

February 24, 1927 — March 12, 2010

Patricia Ellen Willitt, a former resident of Okmulgee, went to be with her Lord on Friday, March 12, 2010 at the age of 83. She was born on Thursday, February 24, 1927 to William and Ruth (Keller) Garner in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. On December 7, 1945, she married Donald C. Willitt in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. They moved to Okmulgee in 1949 and lived here for 58 years and then moved to Texas. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Okmulgee and participated in missionary group. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Ruth Garner; daughter, Deborah Joy Willitt and sister, Reba Lawther. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Donald C. Willitt of Temple, TX; son, G. Scott Willitt and wife, Debbie of Temple, TX; sister, Korrine Guenther and husband, Bill of Charleston, SC; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church with Reverend Craig Denslow officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Kelley Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Shurden-Kelley Funeral Home.
