Myrtle Noveline Fuller

Services to honor and celebrate the life of Myrtle (Dolly) Noveline Newberry Fuller will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Okmulgee First Assembly of God Church located at 4th & Seminole. A visitation will held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Schaudt's Okmulgee Funeral Service Chapel. A graveside service will follow the funeral at the Okmulgee Cemetery.

Myrtle (Dolly) Noveline Newberry Fuller, 86, resident of Okmulgee, died March 2, 2019 with her family by her side. She was born to Columbus Bryson and Mary Ellen Newberry in Osage, OK on April 11, 1932. She was a graduate of Okmulgee High School. She married Archie Lee Fuller, the love of her life, on July 1, 1950. They had their first son, Jimmy Lee Fuller, in New Jersey, while her husband was stationed there with the Army. Their second son, Billy Ray Fuller, was born a year later in Okmulgee, OK. She received her Bachelor and Master’s degrees from East Central University and her doctorate from Oklahoma State University. She was a long-time teacher at Seminole Public Schools and later was a professor at Seminole State College where the couple resided for 48 years. Her husband worked for Sun Oil Company for 37 years before retiring. Both moved to Okmulgee in 1990 after their retirement. They lived next door to their son Jimmy.

Dolly was a member of First Assembly of God Church. She loved her church and her life was an exemplary testimony to her devotion to God. Her interests include gardening, being a grandmother and great grandmother, genealogy, and writing. She was a member of Daffodil Garden Club in Okmulgee. She was active in the Teachers Retirement Association in Okmulgee for many years.

She is survived by husband Archie Lee Fuller of the home, her son, Jimmy Lee Fuller, and wife, Susie Ella Fuller, of Okmulgee; granddaughter, Kiah Renee Ritchie and her husband, Chris, of Muskogee; two great grandchildren, Deagan and Liam Ritchie of Muskogee. She is also survived by three brothers: Dal R. Newberry of Oklahoma City; Lum L. Newberry of Beggs; and Carl E. Newberry of Atlanta, GA; one sister: Jequita Martin of Henryetta, OK; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Billy Ray Fuller of Tulsa; William B. Newberry of Tulsa; Ruth Ellen Catlett of Collinsville; Addie Williams; Maxine Dunham; and Robert W. Newberry.

Dolly was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and will be missed all of us.
