Mona Jean Long

Mona Jean Perry Long, 84, peacefully passed away on November 28, 2018.

Mona was born in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma on March 31, 1934. She graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1958. She taught English at Oklahoma State University Technical College in Okmulgee for more than 10 years.

Mona was preceded in death by her parents Loyd Clyde and Louie Josephine Perry and by her two older sisters Pauline Milner and Elderine Hoipkemier.

Mona is survived by her children Tim Long and Lisa and Bruce Wilcox and her grandchildren Katie, Tyler, and Emily Wilcox.

Her grandchildren remember their Mom-O as comforting, loving, and supportive. Mom-O never let a holiday or birthday go by without sending a card (even when her grandson was deployed overseas) that was always written in perfect penmanship.

Mona had a passion for helping others and a deep devotion to the church. While she will be missed by her loved ones, they find comfort that she is at peace with her Creator.
