Michael Wayne Glasby

November 15, 1954 — March 22, 2023

Michael "Mike" Wayne Glasby, 68 a resident of Jenks, Oklahoma received his Heavenly heart on March 22, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at Saint Francis Hospital. Mike as everyone knew him, was born Nov. 15th, 1954 to Oleta Maxine and Earl Robert Glasby and older brother Gerry Glasby in Tulsa Oklahoma.

Mike grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma with his parents, his older brother, and next door to the Clutter family who ultimately became extended family from the moment they met. He loved playing baseball as a kid and going to stock car races. He graduated from Memorial High School in 1973. He loved the Beatles and rock and roll. If you knew him then, you knew there was a time he rocked some long jet-black hair and played guitar/drums.

Mike followed his dream of becoming a police officer in 1980 where he began his career as a patrol officer for the City of Jenks. He later went on to become Detective Sergeant for the City of Jenks and adored his partner in crime, his drug dog Major Payne. Not to forget his beloved German Shepards Judge and Jury at home. Mike was known as the "ICEMAN" throughout the department for his tough demeanor. Which he proudly sported as a tattoo on his arm. Most people knew Mike with a beautiful head of white hair which he gained early in life. He always said he contributed that to his 3 kids, Christy, Robbie, and Mikah. Mike found the Lord in the early '70s and was Baptized at Fort Gibson Lake in 1974. He was a member of First Grace Church in Glenpool during his adult years.

There was one person in his life that could make the ICEMAN's heart melt, and that was his baby girl, Mikah. Mike found a new meaning of love in life when he became Papa to Lane Robert in 2018 and Hayes Ridge in 2021. The man of few words that hardly ever broke his serious demeanor would light up a room with his smile and laughter when "HIS" boys were around. He loved his family wholeheartedly and spent as much time with them as possible. He never let a day go by without letting them know how much they meant to him. After years of battling heart complications, Mike received his new heavenly heart with his daughter Mikah and son-in-law Luke by his side on March 22, 2023.

Mike was preceded in death by his Mother; Maxine, Father; Earl, Brother; Gerry, and Margaret & Richard Clutter.

Mike is survived by his Daughter, Mikah and husband Luke Compton; Grandsons, Lane Robert & Hayes Ridge of Jenks, Oklahoma; Daughter, Christy and husband Larry Grable; Grandkids Alexandria and Zander of Santa Clarita, California; Son, Robbie Glasby and wife Michelle and family of Owasso, Oklahoma.
