Michael Anthony Giblin

July 26, 1939 — January 22, 2018

Michael Anthony Giblin passed away Monday morning, January 22, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was 78.

Mike was born July 26, 1939 in Albany, New York to Helen (Aull) Giblin and Thomas Joseph Giblin.

Mike had moved to Salt lake City, Utah where he was a 1957 graduate from Judge Memorial High School. On February 26, 1958, he went on to serve our country in the United States Navy until January 22, 1960.

After the service Mike graduated from Westminster College and then eventually moved to Laguna Beach, California. After a few years in Southern California he made his way to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1974.

He worked as a sales representative for John Deere Manufacturing for over 25 years until he retired.

Mike was known as the family historian. He loved talking about his ancestors and what made up his family. He also loved to travel, one of his favorite places to visit was Italy. You could often find Mike walking and spending time with his dog, Bob. He was a social butterfly with charm and was known as the neighborhood host in his neighborhood. Mike was a beloved father, brother, grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Helen (Aull) Giblin and Thomas Giblin; and brothers, Thomas Giblin, Jr. and Peter Giblin.

Survivors are sons, Chris Giblin, and Matthew Giblin and his wife, Betty; grandson, Ryan Giblin; granddaughter, Jessica Giblin; and brothers, Anthony Giblin and Terrence Giblin.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Michael Giblin to the Porta Caeli House; 2440 N Harvard Ave, Tulsa, OK 74115.
