Max R. Keene

Max Ray Keene was born on October 8, 1936, in Grove, Oklahoma, to the late Helen Margaret (Fields) Keene and Max Keene. He passed away at his residence in Beggs, Oklahoma, on Monday, July 31, 2017, at the age of 80.

Max graduated from Grove High School with the class of 1955. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Army and served as a SP3. He was honorably discharged in 1958. Max married Vicki Gayle (Leming) Keene on March 6, 1961, in Miami, Oklahoma. Together they had four loving children. He was in charge of the veteran's area at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens as a groundskeeper, until his retirement in 1999.

Max was preceded in death by his parents; Helen and Max Keene.

He is survived by his loving wife; Vicki Gayle (Leming) Keene of the home, children; Patricia, Debbie and her husband Monte, Tammi and her husband Greg, and Rebecca and her husband Kevin, siblings; Bobbie Keene of Edmond, Oklahoma, Charles Keene of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, Jimmy Keene of Grove, Oklahoma, Sharon Barnes of Cleveland, Oklahoma, eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and many other caring family and friends.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Chapel, 719 E. 141st Street, Glenpool, Oklahoma.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service Chapel, Reverend Monte Youman will officiate.

Interment will be 12:00 PM on Thursday, August 3, 2017, at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery, 1423 Cemetery Road, Ft Gibson, Oklahoma 74434.
