Mary Kathryn Secrest

Mary Kathryn Secrest, Tulsa resident, passed away Thursday evening, November 29, 2018 at the age 74 years.

She was born on August 31, 1944 in Pawhuska, OK to her parents, Thomas Rickard and Margaret (Page) Rickard. She married the love of her life, Richard Secrest, on March 26, 1966 in Sharp Chapel on the campus of Tulsa University. She was a member of the Kappa Delta sorority and PEO.

Mary enjoyed a 30+ year career as a Real Estate Agent helping Tulsa area families find their dream homes.

Mary enjoyed gardening, decorating for Christmas, and playing bridge. She had great joy in attending all her grandchildren's events, cheering them on in everything they did. Mary had a big heart for animals and was a lifelong dog lover. She was a longtime member of Asbury Methodist Church, active in the Stephens Ministry as well as the Happy Christians. She was a Master Gardner with Linnaeus.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Secrest, and her parents, Thomas and Margaret Rickard.

She leaves many loving memories with her family, daughter Michelle Taubman and husband, Michael; son Rick Secrest and wife, Kim; grandsons Tyler and Hunter Secrest, granddaughter Chloe Taubman, grandson Michael J. Taubman; sister Suzanne Rickard; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 6, 2018 in Mason Chapel at Asbury United Methodist Church.
