Mary Frances Amburn

Mary Frances (Hunzinger) Amburn passed away Sunday evening, September 29, 2019, at the age of 87 years. Mary was born on September 25, 1932 in Quapaw, OK to her parents, Henry and Mary (Harding) Hunzinger.

She met the love of her life, Elmer ‘Bud’ Amburn while working as a sales director in the women’s clothing industry. They were introduced by a mutual friend and eventually their relationship flourished. They were married on Saturday, May 27, 1961 in the Boston Avenue Methodist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They moved to Colorado for a few years and then on to Scottsdale, Arizona in 1966. Bud and Mary spent 52 years living in Scottsdale until returning to Tulsa in 2018. During their time in Scottsdale both Mary and Bud had successful careers, raised their girls and loved to travel; visiting places such as Switzerland, Europe, and the Caribbean. They truly enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mary Hunzinger.

Mary leaves many loving memories with her family, loving husband, Bud Amburn, of Tulsa, daughters, Frances Kay Holmes and Brenda Morgan; nephew, Steve Amburn and wife Sharon; grandchildren, Tommy, Stacy, Kelly, Kyle, Shawn, and Megan.

Services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, October 4, 2019 at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
