Martin Ray Taylor 70, of Mounds, OK, passed away Sunday evening of November 12th, at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa surrounded by his family. Martin was born in Lubbock, TX on June 7, 1947, the son of the late Juanita (Bingham) and Herman Ray Taylor.
Martin graduated high school from Frenship High School in Wolfforth, Texas in 1965. After graduation he attended Bethany Nazarene College and then went on to Texas Tech University. He then went on to receive his Aircraft and Powerplant mechanics license from Houston Community College. Martin had a lengthy career in the aviation industry where he worked for American West in Phoenix, Arizona and most recently worked for Bizlet and Nordam in Tulsa. Martin proudly served our country in the United States Navy. Since retirement he owed Taylor Limousine Ranch along with his brother Wayne. When Martin was not working he enjoyed spending his time in the great outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, and most of all working on his cattle ranch with his brother. Nascar was on the top of his list of things he enjoyed watching and his favorite driver was Kevin Harwick.
Martin is survived by his daughter, Tobin Reyes, of Lubbock, TX; son, Brad Taylor, husband of Patrice Taylor; brother, Wayne Taylor, of Mounds, OK. and two grandchildren, Johnathan Belous, Ashley Reyes, of Lubbock, TX.
Service will be held 10AM Monday, November 20, 2017 at Resthaven Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel in Lubbock, Texas with Rev. John Donnerberg officiating.
