Marlene Virginia Strunk

Marlene V. Strunk, age 84, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away Monday, January 11, 2021.

She was born in Chanute, Kansas on August 27, 1936. The daughter of Virginia Williamson and Robert Williamson. She grew up in Chanute, Kansas and graduated from Chanute High School. She married Wendell D. Strunk on September 9th, 1956. A few years later they moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and raised their family.

Marlene and Wendell were members of Memorial Drive United Methodist Church, and took pleasure in attending church and worshiping together there. While working, Marlene enjoyed her time as a secretary. She always like tending to her plants and flowers around the house and in the garden. Marlene cooked wonderful meals and baked delicious desserts and always took great detail in everything she did.

Marlene is preceded in death by her husband, Wendell D. Strunk; two sisters, Mary Padgett and Betty June Yuill, and a brother, Robert Williamson.

Survivors include her daughter, Diane Strunk; son and daughter-in-law, Terence D. and Kelli J. Strunk; three grandchildren, Abbey, Micah, and Ethan Strunk; one great-granddaughter, Eden Strunk; two sisters, JoAnn Winter and Dorothy Garcia; and one brother, Donald Williamson.

Marlene was a loving, caring wife, mother, and sister who will forever be in our hearts and dearly missed. Her family would like to thank the staff of Autumn Leaves and Rose Rock Hospice for the loving care and support they have given Marlene.

A celebration of life will take place at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service at 9:30am, on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the Elsmore Cemetery, in Elsmore, Kansas.
