Marilyn Truman Neal

February 14, 1955 — March 12, 2023

Marilyn Lucille Truman Neal was born February 14,1955, in Kansas City, Missouri, died peacefully March 12, 2023, at Ascension st. John's downtown hospital, Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was the last daughter of Thelma Lucille and George Tedro Truman, preceeding her. She is survived by one son and daughter in law, William Ronald Neal,jr., Allison Neal, half sisters Janice Trepanier of Natalia, Texas, Nina Childress of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Georgia Jones of Kansas City, Missouri, half brother Larry Truman of Milford, Iowa, brother John Truman of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, and numerous nieces, nephews, grand- nieces/ nephews, and great- grand nieces and nephews, and cousins.


Marilyn grew up and attended school in Kansas city, Missouri through the 8th grade. In her lifetime, traveled to Kansas, Iowa, Oklahoma, Texas, and western part of Louisiana. It is believed that she was babtized at the 1973 assembly of Jehovah's witnesses in Independence,, Missouri at the baseball stadium.In the summer of 1982 in San Antonio, Texas at a district assembly of Jehovah's witnesses, she met and eventually marrying her husband, William R. Neal December 21, 1982,in Austin, Texas.


Marilyn enjoyed drawing figures, playing cards, games, badminton, miniature golf, as well as cooking, shopping with coupons, and all the rides at World's of Fun, North Kansas city, Missouri. She was the first known person to fly a jet plane by herself from Kansas city, Missouri to Austin, Texas, in January, 1979, to attend her nephew 's funeral. She also made hand crafted blankets as gifts for others, most recent a baby shower blanket for a newborn in the Sapulpa congregation, Graylan Allen.. she was very frugal with money, though few knew. She also home schooled her son, due to expresses both she and her husband had in ther school years. By age 4, her son knew the "abc's, and simple math.


Services will be held 5:00pm, March 30, 2023, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 1125 Brenner Road, Sapulpa, Oklahoma 74066. Zoom will be available for those unable to attend. Reception will follow at Walnut Park Manor Apartments Community Center 1000 W Teel Road, Sapulpa, OK 74066
