Marilyn Kay Hauglund

January 21, 1947 — June 13, 2021

Marilyn, age 74, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 13, 2021. She was born on January 21, 1947 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Frank and Mary (Aspinal) Parker. She will be remembered for her many avocations and occupations: wife, mother, grandmother, hairdresser, gardener, horse rider, and the joy she brought in doing them. Her outgoing personality, her boundless compassion and her ability to give her full attention to you and your situation will be sorely missed by her family and friends. She graduated from Brookside Beauty School and continued to be a hairdresser for the next 52 years. Marilyn was a horse enthusiast. She trained, rode and took care of so many horses throughout her lifetime.

She married her husband, Layne Hauglund, August 10th, 1973. They celebrated 44 years of marriage in August of 2017. Layne passed away June 21st, 2018, just before their 45th year anniversary. Marilyn is survived by her children; three sons and three daughters. Doug and wife Sandy, Michael and wife Misty, and Timothy. Lindsey and husband Steven, Heather and husband John, and Sarah and husband Jake. Fourteen grandchildren; Gregory, Elizabeth, Joshua, Shawn, Tanner, Raegen, Jacob, Josie, James, Jack, Henley, Olivia, Owen and Oliver. Three great-grandchildren. Her sisters; Sharon and husband Rick, Trish, and Carol and husband Lee, along with a host
of nieces and nephews.
