Lori Ann Nichols

January 17, 1961 — August 6, 2023

Lori Ann Nichols, née Brusky, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away on August 6, 2023, at home, after a long battle with cancer. Lori spent her final days being cared for by her loving husband, her sister-in-law, Patti Nichols, and her many dear friends and family members.

Lori was born on January 17, 1961, in Kewaunee, Wisconsin. She graduated from West Bend High School and went on to attend the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. During her career she held various corporate accounting and human resource roles, working for the Pipeliners Local Union, Ebsco Spring Company, Christ United Methodist Church, Computer Warehouse, and AMC Mortgage. While working at the Computer Warehouse, Lori met her husband, Orville. Lori and Orville were married on September 10, 2005.

A dedicated and doting wife, mother, and grandmother, Lori was a doer and a helper in all aspects of her life. She was a true believer in Jesus, and was an amazing real-life example of faith, love, and joy. Church was part of her identity; she read the Bible daily and was an active member and church leader at Asbury Church in Tulsa. Lori was in the Compass Bible Study group, a Second Saturday leader, an initiator of the Foster Children portal, a leader of Eucharistic ministers, and was instrumental in planning the Grove Elementary Christmas Party. Her faith was central to her life, reflected in her many acts of service throughout her community.

Lori will be remembered for her big heart, bright smile, and vibrant spirit. She had a great love for her friends and family which brought out her best self. You always felt welcome in her home. She enjoyed hosting holiday dinners and game nights. Lori was an avid golfer. This was a favorite hobby both Lori and Orville enjoyed together. Lori also had a love for animals. You could always find Lori walking her dogs in the neighborhood or making a comfortable home for her stray kitties. Lori truly loved and prayed for all who touched her.

Lori is survived by her husband, Orville Nichols; her son Brandon (Mariah) Biles, her son Joey Biles, her stepdaughters Natalie (Ryan) Synnott and Cassidy (Erik) Nelson; her grandchildren, Jack Biles, Taylor and Caroline Synnott, and Lukas, Logan, and Lily Nelson; her sister, Colleen Radmann; and brother Brian Brusky. Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Marlene Heiter Brusky and Frank Brusky.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, August 13th from 2pm to 4pm at Schaudt's Funeral Home, 5757 S. Memorial.
