Linley John Ward

Linley John Ward Linley John Ward, a resident of Hitchita, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at the age of 82. He was born March 23, 1928 to Lee and Vera (Gore) Ward in Denoya, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Vera Ward; wife, Rosie Ward, two sons, Jim and Roy Rogers; two daughters, Martha Jones and Dorothy Marler; three brothers, Delmo, Lindy and Buford Ward and one sister, Lorene Morrison. Survivors include his children, John Ward of Hitchita, Judy Anthony of Lubbock, Texas and Linda Jackson and husband, Norman of Noble, Ok; one brother, Roy Ward of Henryetta; seventeen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Hitchita with Reverend Duke Britt officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Lackey Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Henryetta. Pallbearers will be Everett Brake, Ed Gibson, Dale Morrison, Tommy Morrison, Paul Dodge, Rigo Mendoza, Jeff Stevenson and Reverend Glen Putman.
