Lillian Margaret Chesebro

Lillian Margaret Chesebro passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at University Village, Tulsa. Lillian was born April 10, 1925 to Wallace and Margaret Vanderwater in Brooklyn, New York.

Lillian grew up in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from Vassar High School in Brooklyn and went on to study education at Barnard College of Columbia University in New York City, graduating in 1947.

In 1949, Lillian moved to Albany when she married Fred Chesebro. They resided there until 1997.

Lillian then moved to Tulsa in 1997. She volunteered at Saint Francis Hospital and was very involved with the North East Oklahoma Active Timers. Lillian loved good conversation, a good glass of wine and a good dinner.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Fred. Lillian is survived by her son, Fred Chesebro, Jr. and his wife, Susan; three grandsons: Brandon, Jayson and Jordon.

There are no local services planned. Lillian will be interred next to her husband in Albany, New York.
