Lesley Dean Teague

July 24, 1956 — January 20, 2021

Lesley Dean Teague passed away on January 20, 2021 at the age of 64. Before his death, he lived with all his heart. Les was always quick to smile and to lend a hand to everyone. He was always ready with a joke and he always faced life challenges with a smile. He especially enjoyed the challenges of that involved with dice and cards.

As a child, Les was one of the kids lost in the middle of five siblings - with Johnny, Sonny, and David just in front of him and Randy and “Sister” right behind him. He grew up in Orange, Texas, but his parents Norma and John Clayton made sure he spent plenty of time at the lake house on Toledo Bend. Of course, Les was catching the most and biggest fish.

After high school, Les joined the Air Force and proudly served for over six years. He served as a Programming Analyst from Mississippi, to Texas, to Louisiana, to Germany, and eventually separated from the military as a Staff Sergeant from Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma. With his love for fishing and the great outdoors, Les fell in love with Oklahoma and decided to make it his home state. He built his career as a successful car salesman, but made sure he spent as much time as he could at any of the lakes, but especially Lake Skiatook.

Les believed “You will never be loved by those “BIG” accomplishments that you only do once, it’ll always be for the little things that you do everyday,” and all who knew him will cherish the memories of him and all his little things.

Les had three beautiful daughters, Tonya, Chelsea, and Vanessa, and one handsome son, Nathan. To his children, Les passed on his love of the hot tamale candies, but most importantly his love of family. He adored his grandchildren Gavin, Buddy, Casher, Emma, and great granddaughter Lily. He loved nothing more than having his family or friends over for a good time (except for maybe a game of dice).

Les is survived by his daughter, Tonya Norris, and her husband, Andy Norris; son, Nathan Teague; daughter, Chelsea Teague; daughter, Vanessa Teague, and her husband Chris Borders; grandsons, Gavin Hearon, Buddy Bales, Casher Bales, and Chad Norris; Granddaughters, Emma Teague, and Alyssa Witt and her husband Colton Witt; and great granddaughter, Lily Hearon. Les was preceded in death by his father, John Clayton Teague.

Les will be honored in a celebration of life on January 26, 2021 at 2 pm at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service Chapel with a burial ceremony following at Memorial Park. There will be a visitation on Monday, January 25, 2021 from 5 - 8 pm.
