LaFane Sears Day, passed away at the Prairie House Assisted Living and Memory Care, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, on Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at the age of 83 years old.

LaFane is predeceased by her loving husband of 45 years, Charles Herman Day, her daughter, Sheila Ann Pearson, granddaughter, Rebecca Ann Lemine and her parents Archie and Dora (Smith) Sears.

LaFane is lovingly remembered by her daughter and husband, Brenda Gayle and Roger David of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; grandchildren Philip Alan Lemine and partner Tiffany, Valrico, Florida, Hope Elizabeth David and partner Matthew Oman, Duluth Minnesota, former grandson-in-law, Ian Connell, Duluth, Minnesota, Sarah Grace Aschkenas and husband Jordan, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Steven Paul Lemine and partner Tanya Matheny, Summerfield, Florida. Great grandchildren include Saul Thomas Connell-David and Thea Claire Connell-David, both of Duluth, Minnesota, Nathaniel David Aschkenas of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She was awaiting the birth of two more great grandchildren in November, Vivianne Kate Aschkenas and Nolan Oliver Lemine. Also remembering LaFane are her siblings, Evon Eubanks, Plant, City, Florida, Betty Durrance, Tampa, Florida and Herman (Ilene) Sears, Plant City, FL. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews and special friends.

LaFane was born on May 19, 1937, in Blackshear, Georgia. She graduated from Plant City High School in 1954. She worked for many years for the Hillsborough County School Board at Limona Elementary and Kingswood Elementary, Brandon, Florida and Jackson Elementary, Plant City, Florida as a school secretary. Through the years she was a faithful member of Northside Baptist Church, Plant City, Florida, First Christian Church of Brandon, Florida and Turkey Creek Baptist Church.

Our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Prairie House Assisted Living and Memory Care for the wonderful care they gave our loved one in her last two years of her life and great appreciation to her daughter, Shelia for the loving, excellent care she gave Mom for many years.
