Karen Jo Lane

Karen Jo Tate (Miller) Lane was born to Cora Jo Heath and Joseph Melton Tate on January 7, 1944 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Karen married Carl Lane on August 1, 1985 in Oklahoma city. She passed from this life on May 22, 2010 at her home in Porum, at the age of 66. Karen was a member of the Friendship Chapel Baptist Church at Porum Landing. Memorial Services for Karen will be Wednesday, May 26, 2010, 1:00 p.m. at the Friendship Chapel Baptist Church at Porum Landing. Officiating will be Dr. Jim Ray and assisting will be Pastor Tom Arnould. Honorary Pallbearers wil be Zach Thurston, Bo Thurston, Phillip Harryman, Tom Cupples, Dylan Miller, Mason Wright, Dale Gilbert, Darren Gilbert,and Larry VanDyke. Karen is survived by her husband, Carl of the home in Porum, Ok. 1 Son: Shawn Tate Miller of Oklahoma City, Ok, 4 Daughters: Edie LaJean Piotrowski of Oklahoma City, Lanie Machelle Harryman and husband Phillip of Spring, Texas, Dennie Renn`e Cupples and husband Thomas of Morgan Hill, CA. and Tammie Jo Smith and husband Mike of McCloud, OK. 2 Sisters: Pamela Kay Lewis of Perryton, Texas, and Debora Jean Tate of Nashville, Tn. 1 Brother: Stevie B. Tate of Dallas, Texas. 9 Grandchildren, and 1 Great-grandchild, with 1 on the way. Also a host of other relatives and friends. Karen was preceded in death by her parents: Cora Jo and Joseph Melton Tate, 1 brother: Samuel Joseph Tate, and 1 Grandson: Zachary Heath Thurston.
