Joshua Michael Hanisch

Joshua Michael Hanisch "Josh" passed away Friday, July 17, 2015, in Tulsa. He was born January 19, 1993, in Tulsa, the son of Jeffrey and Amanda (Jones) Hanisch. Josh grew up in Tulsa and attended Tulsa Community College. All who knew him loved Josh's quick wit and lighthearted nature, and his easygoing and laid back personality made him approachable and fun to be around. Whether working on his grandpa's farm or helping his family, friends, clergy, and community, Josh always served others. He loved spending time with friends, hanging out with his family, riding his motorcycle, and flying model airplanes with his father and his brother. Josh loved music and forcing his sister Aidan to watch Justified, his favorite TV series. A best friend to his siblings, Josh cherished his family, who will miss him dearly.

Josh was preceded in death by his cousin Andrew Boyne. He is survived by his parents; his siblings: Katherine Hanisch, Zachary Hanisch, Aidan Hanisch, and Abigail Hanisch; his grandparents: Donald and Cathleen Hanisch, Dwight and Patricia Yarbrough, and Bobby and Sheila Driskell; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who cared for him deeply.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Schaudt-Teel Funeral Service at Memorial Park, 5757 S. Memorial Drive in Tulsa. A rosary service is scheduled for 7:00 PM Tuesday and Mass of Christian Burial 2:00 PM Wednesday, both at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1717 S. 75th E. Avenue in Tulsa.
