Joann Arlene King

Joann Arlene King, a resident of Okmulgee, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013 at the age of 79. She was born November 7, 1933 to George and Vivian (Savage) Heady in Vandalia, Illinois. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Okmulgee. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Vivian Heady, two brothers, Johnny and Bill Heady; son, Stephen King and grandson, John Peters. Survivors include her two daughters, Deborah Blunt of Broken Arrow and Sharon Peters of Okmulgee; son, Timothy King and wife, Joy of Bixby; nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and an aunt. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the Jackson Funeral Home and Crematory in Okmulgee. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Jackson Funeral Home and Crematory.
