James Proctor

March 25, 1938 — May 16, 2022

James Proctor, who was born on March 25, 1938, in rural Trenton area to Johnson and Maggie Proctor, left this earth on May 16, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine Proctor, parents Johnson and Maggie Proctor, brothers Lewis Proctor, Andy Proctor, John Proctor, and Sam Proctor. Sisters Eleen Billy, Amanda Lowe, Anna Billy, and Dora Proctor, as well as his grandson Bunga Monday.

James is survived by his son, Jack and Kathy Monday of Glenpool. Grandson Jordon, wife Jessica, and great granddaughter Zoey Monday of Broken Arrow. He is also survived by his granddaughter Erin, husband Kevin, and great grandson Evan Dale of Sapulpa. Daughter Kim and her husband Larry of Okmulgee, grandson Kyle Harry of Hectorville, adopted sons Solomon Wilson of Sapulpa and Jagger Razzo of Glenpool. As well as his special friend Margret Longhorn.

James served in the US Army as a Military Police officer from 1961 until 1968. He was Tvstenvke at Tullahassee Wako Kye ceremonial ground. Retired from Muscogee Creek Nation Lighthorse Security as a Sergeant Major.

James enjoyed a multitude of activities which included spending time at ceremonial grounds, sharing his culture by sharing stories, and sharing the language, going to the casino, and watching western movies.

He will be missed by many family members, friends, and loved ones.

The wake for James Proctor will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, starting at 6:00 PM at Morning Star Evangelistic Center.

Funeral services for James will be Thursday, May 19, 2022, starting at 2pm at Morning Star Evangelistic Center with burial to follow at Fox Family Cemetery.
