James Edward Pearson age 70 passed away August 1, 2011 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. James was born December 8, 1940 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Robert Pearson and Verba (Carner) Pearson. He graduated from Rogers High School and attended Tulsa University. James married Diane (Barnett) Pearson on June 16, 1995 in Jenks, Oklahoma. He worked as an Investment Analyst for Amerada Hess Oil Company for forty-eight years. In his spare time James enjoyed sports, doing crossword puzzles and traveling. James was a member of Riverview Baptist Church. James was preceded in death by his parents: Robert and Verba Pearson. He is survived by his wife, Diane Pearson of Bixby, Oklahoma, his daughter, Karen Petray of San Antonio, Texas, his son Sean Pearson of Homer, Alaska, his daughter, Jennifer Solomon and her husband Jake of Baltimore, Maryland, his step-son, Jared Hurst of Glenpool, Oklahoma, his brother, Don Pearson and his wife Barbara of Coal Valley, Illinois, eleven grandchildren along with other family members and friends. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Riverview Baptist Church, 13201 S. Memorial Drive, Bixby, Oklahoma. Reverend Andy Jobe will officiate. Honorary pallbearers are: Jack Allen, Bill Goodwin, Dick Morrison and John Myles. In lieu of flowers, James' family request donations to Riverview Baptist Church - Music Program, 13201 S. Memorial Drive, Bixby, Oklahoma 74008 (918 369-2055). Arrangements were entrusted to Daniel C. Schaudt of Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service & Cremation Care.
