Helen Willie Mae Walker

Helen Willie Mae Walker age 82 passed away Friday, June 14, 2013 at Clarehouse in Tulsa, Oklahoma surrounded by loving family members. Helen was born August 28, 1930 in Knoxville, Tennessee to Earnest Lee Thomas and Dillie Mae (Taylor) Thomas. She attended Humes High School in Memphis. Helen married Elvin Walker on October 10, 1947 in Tupelo, Mississippi. Helen enjoyed growing roses and working in her garden. She also was known for cooking "fried" foods for her family and going "garage selling". Helen was preceded in death by her parents: Earnest and Dillie Thomas, her son, Alan (Bud) Walker, her sister, Mary Walker, her great grandson, Evan Bradley, her nephew, Larry Walker and her niece, Janet Hyatt. She is survived by her husband, Elvin Walker of Tulsa, her daughters: Donna Bradley and husband, Terry Bradley of Jenks, Lori Spreng and husband, Ralf Spreng of Glenpool; her grandchildren: Travis Bradley and wife, Alissa Bradley of Bixby, Amanda Bunch and husband, Jonathan Bunch of Arlington, Virginia, Josh Barber of Tulsa, Dakota Spreng of Glenpool, Nathan Spreng of Glenpool, her great grandchildren: Eli Bradley of Bixby, Audrey Bunch of Arlington, Virginia, Jack Bunch of Arlington, Virginia, her precious nephews and niece: Mark, Phillip and Doug Walker and Debbie Mefford, her great niece, Melissa Branchcomb along with numerous family members and friends. Pallbearers are: Michael Walker, Travis Bradley, Doug Walker, Phillip Walker, Mark Walker and Terry Bradley. Honorary Pallbearers are: Josh Barber, Nathan Spreng and Dakota Spreng. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Schaudt's Funeral Service Chapel, Glenpool, Oklahoma. Pastor Stan Bunch will officiate. Interment is 3:00 p.m. at Clarksville Cemetery, Clarksville, Arkansas. Arrangements were entrusted to Daniel C. Schaudt of Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service & Cremation Care.
