Helen Faye Nowell

September 28, 1943 — December 27, 2020

Helen Faye Nowell passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020, at the age of 77 years.

Helen was born on September 28, 1943 in Charleston, AR to her parents, David and Lois (Raney) Bynum. She was one of nine children raised in Charleston, AR. The family later moved to Sapulpa, OK where Helen graduated from high school.

Helen worked as a Dietician in retirement and nursing homes for over 30 years. She loved taking care of people and everyone adored her. She was a wonderful mom to her children and instilled in them the value of hard work and taught them to never quit anything you start! She was always the kid’s biggest fan at their ball games growing up. She was better known as "Meemaw" to her grandchildren and enjoyed them more than anything! She recently became a great-grandma to Temperance Ray Nowell, who was the highlight of her life!

Helen lived at Red Bud Village in Glenpool where she had many friends including Nina Fries, PK Myers, Bea Rowley and Stoney. She loved everyone and saw the world through rose-colored glasses.

Helen loved to sew and she loved country music, but will be most remembered for her love and dedication to her family. She treasured her children and grandchildren, they were everything to her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, E. Charles Nowell, parents, and sisters; Billie Hill and Becky Leonard.

Helen leaves behind many loving memories with her family; siblings June Turner, Bonnie Hailey, Mike Robertson, Sandy Turner, Cathy Smith and Jimmy Robertson; one daughter, Katrina Deaton and husband Bobby of Eureka Springs, AR, son; David Nowell; grandsons Kyle Deaton, Justin Nowell as well as Dion Burke and her two boys, Gavin Pettitt and Taryn Terrill, and most recently great granddaughter Temperance Ray Nowell, along with many nieces and nephews, other loving relatives and a host of friends.

Arrangements are entrusted to Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service & Cremation Care, 719 East 141st Street, Glenpool, OK 74033.
