Harriette Ann Reedy

Harriette A. Reedy, 93 years, Tulsa resident, passed away Wednesday evening, August 22, 2018, with loving family by her side. She was born on July 29, 1925 in Oak Park, IL to her parents, Carlyle Strening and Harriette Strening.

She attended Catholic schools, graduating from Rosary College with a Master's Degree in Special Education. She married the love of her life, James P. Reedy on June 18, 1949. She enjoyed teaching in the Catholic Schools for over thirty years until she retired in her mid-80's. Harriette was an avid golfer, cheered for Notre Dame Football (Go Irish!) and her favorite baseball team, the Chicago Cubs. Most of all she loved her family and treasured the time she was able to spend with them, especially during the holidays.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Reedy; her parents, Carlyle and Harriette Strening; and her siblings.

She leaves many loving memories with her family, son, James Reedy and wife, Charlotte, son, Patrick Reedy, son, Phil Reedy and wife, Gail; grand-daughter, Amanda Westcott, grandson, James Reedy and wife, Brittany, grandson, Patrick Reedy and wife, April, grand-daughter, Muriel Reedy, grand-daughter, Ella Reedy: great-grandson, Connor Westcott, great-grandson, Patrick Reedy, as well as many other loving family members.

Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Holy Family Cathedral’s Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Harriette’s name to Holy Family Cathedral School, 820 South Boulder, Tulsa, OK, 74119.
