Harrell Presser

Harrell Presser, age 89, passed away January 15, 2018. Harrell was born July 30, 1928, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, to Edward and Vivian (Burt) Presser. He was preceded in death by Betty Jean (Lankford) Presser, his wife of 62 years, his parents and all eleven of his siblings. This is why he recently referred to himself as "The Last of the Mohicans" and why he is truly admired by his son's for his incredible resiliency and stubborn independence.

Mr. Presser is survived by his son Gary and wife Shashi, son Wayne and his wife Marianne, all of Albuquerque, N.M., grandchildren Matt Presser and his wife Erica, Mica Blacklock and her husband Brian, as well as numerous great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

Mr. Presser worked for many years as an electronic technician in New Mexico for the AT&SF Railroad before retiring back to Okmulgee in 1976. After a brief move back to the Albuquerque area where both sons reside, he insisted on returning to the place he most loved, Oklahoma. He most recently resided in Henryetta, where so many of his formative years were spent. Mr. Presser always had fond memories of his time as a Mason.

Services will be 10:00 am Monday January 22, 2018 at Schaudt Funeral Service Chapel, 220 S. Alabama, Okmulgee, Oklahoma with Pastor Randell Reeder officiating. Interment will follow in Okmulgee Cemetery.
