Georgie C Jackson

January 16, 1925 — July 9, 2020

Georgie C Jackson was born in Park Hill, Oklahoma on January 16, 1925 to Bertha (Hayes) Jackson and Elmer Lee Jackson Sr.

Georgie married the love of his life Virginia on March 26, 1946 and the two spent over 70 years of wonderful marriage together.

Georgie spent his whole life working. Early in his life he worked the land with his father and brothers. He went on to pursue a career in machining where he had a fruitful job and eventually created his own business locally in Okmulgee. If Georgie was not at work or the shop as known to friends and family, you would find Georgie helping Virginia with her flowers. It is believed that he loved the flowers almost as much as she did. Georgie loved coming home to the sound of kids and grandkids filling the house. He once said there was nothing better than hearing the sound of a child laugh. He took pride in his family and worked very diligently to ensure every member of his family had what was needed. He also indulged Virginia with bunches of dolls! He was a great family man, a father, grandfather and friend to all and will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his wife Virginia Jackson, his parents Bertha and Elmer Jackson, children- George Raymond, Allen Dean and Jerry Wayne; one great grandchild Liberty Elizabeth Rose, two brother Clydus and Hude Jackson and sister Nola Tillman.

Georgie is survived by his son Paul Jackson and wife Sheri of Okmulgee; daughter in law Pam Jackson of Tahlequah; grandchildren David Jackson and wife Holly of Tulsa, Kevin Jackson and wife Kara of Tahlequah, Amanda Neugin and husband Nathan of Tahlequah, Melissa Jackson and husband Michael of Okmulgee, Tina Shanks and husband Michael of Okmulgee, Cody Jackson of Okmulgee; great grandchildren Zoe, Malakhi, Elijah, Judah, Jax, Rosily, Jesse, Anna, Marah, Trinity, Landen and many other friends and family that will always cherish the memories they had with him.
