Gary Lynn Prince

Gary Lynn Prince, 54, of Porum, Oklahoma, passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, September 14, 2017 with family at his side. He was born December 22, 1962 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Anita Gertrude (Staley) and Millard Vernon Prince.

Gary graduated from Yukon High School. Upon graduation, he worked with his father in the heating and air business for several years. Gary then began his career with OG&E, diligently working his way up the company ladder. He dedicated 20 years to the company before retiring to his home on Lake Eufaula. He was an avid fisherman and master hunter; he loved fishing for striper and catfish. Everyone who knew him knew that he could fix anything and his house was often a gathering for collaborating projects, trouble shooting and fixing everything around the lake. His family and friends will remember his clever and often sarcastic sense of humor that amused some and intentionally instigated others. He was a loving father, brother, uncle and son.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anita Gertrude (Staley) and Millard Vernon Prince.

Survivors include his son, Clint Prince and wife, Valarie of Biloxi, Mississippi; grandchildren, Talon and Alina Prince; sister, Karen (Prince) Barnett and husband, Steve of Yukon, Oklahoma; nephews, Weston Spencer and wife, Stephanie of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Justin Spencer and wife, Brandy of Yukon, Oklahoma; great nieces and nephews, Brittian Davis, Abigail Lebeau, Jeremey Lebeau, Jonathan Lebeau, Mason Spencer, Hunter Spencer, Tyler Spencer, Archer Prince Spencer, loyal companion, Buddy the Lake Dog; and many close friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017, 11:00 A.M., at the Porum Landing Volunteer Fire Department. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Gary Prince to Porum Landing Volunteer Fire Department. Arrangements are entrusted to Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service and Cremation Care Center.
