Frederic John Ryel

Frederic John Ryel, 68, of Jenks, OK passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 4, 2021.

He was born on February 8, 1953 in Woodward, OK to Rev. Loren E. Ryel and Juanita (Law) Ryel.

He spent most of his childhood in Oklahoma with his later years spent in Liberal, KS where he attended high school. Fred served as fire chief in Cleo Springs, OK volunteer fire department, owned his own upholstery business, worked for Transok Natural Gas Company, and finally retired in 2018 from Cherokee Measurement and Control. He was an avid coin collector and Mark Martin NASCAR fan.

Fred is preceded in death by his parents; Rev. Loren E. Ryel and Juanita Ryel of Cleo Springs, OK.

He is survived by two sisters; Letha (Ryel) Elmore of Birmingham, AL and Rita (Ryel) Bedford and her husband JC of Jenks, OK. Fred was a loving father and devoted husband. He leaves behind his wife; Rhonda Ryel of Jenks, OK, his daughter; Heather Branscum of McAlester, OK, his two sons; John Ryel and Samantha Lee of Broken Arrow, OK and Tommy King and Nikole King of Manford, OK, six grandchildren; Abigail Branscum and Dusty Sullivan, John Branscum, Aidan Ryel, Brianna Smith and Mike Smith, Kaden King and Emma King, and one great-granddaughter; Anna Smith.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service Chapel, 719 E. 141st Street, Glenpool, OK 74033.

Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the First Christian Church, Rt. 2, Cleo Springs, OK 73729. His grandsons, Richard Rich, along with Ray Ryel his cousin will be the pallbearers.
