Frances E Gillham

Frances Gillham passed from us on June 2, 2022, with loving family by her side at the age of 101 years, 2 months, and 25 days.

Frances was known to many as "Grandma Frances." She was born on March 9, 1921, in Columbus, Kansas, to Fred A. and Bertha Parmele.

She is preceded in death by her father, Fred A Parmele; mother, Bertha Parmele; daughter, Linda Sharp; granddaughter, Amber Holleyman; and six brothers and sisters.
Frances graduated high school from Columbus High School in 1939. She started her career at Tulsa Paper Co., Mead Merchants on May 25, 1954, and retired after 32 years on March 31, 1986. She was Employee of the Month when Tulsa Paper Co. changed over to computers and the transition was successful. Her hobbies were sewing, bowling, and reading. She enjoyed watching and rooting for the KC Royals and St. Louis Cardinals. She loved to bake chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies but was best known for her chicken and noodles.

Frances leaves many loving memories with her family: daughter Judi and husband Dave Garlock, of Tulsa; grandchildren, Julie and husband Dewayne Streater, of Wewoka, Oklahoma, Shannon Miller, of Keller, Texas, Dr Kenneth Reed Sharp and wife Carrisa, of Frisco, Texas, Cindy and husband John Walters, of Owasso, Oklahoma, Brandi and husband Dr. Justin Scott Reid, of Tulsa; 13 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.
