Floyd Edwin Rupp

A Funeral Service honoring and remembering the life of Floyd Edwin Rupp will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 10 AM at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Dennis Hampton officiating.

Floyd passed away with his loving family by his side on Sunday, December 30, 2018. He was 88. 
He was born on September 17, 1930 in Hays, Kansas to Jacob and Leontine (Legleiter) Rupp. 
Floyd proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps. 
In 1966, he married the love of his life, Rita (Johnson) Rupp on August 14 in Sands Springs, Oklahoma. 

In 1965, he started his own Chiropractic practice in Sand Springs, Oklahoma and ran the business for forty years until he retired at the age of 75. 

He was a member of the God's Shining Light Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he was an active member. Floyd enjoyed snow skiing and at the age of 51, he ran his 1st and only marathon. He spent his spare time reading spy and mystery novels; bowling and watching old western movies. One of his favorite memories was taking cross country trips with his family in their motor home. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Leontine (Legleiter) Rupp; son, Steven Rupp; two sisters, Ruthie Williams and Maureen Gile and two brothers, Clarence and Ralph Rupp. 

Survivors include his loving wife, Rita (Johnson) Rupp; brother, Ernie Rupp; three daughters, Cynthia Richards, Renee Ives and Susan Page; eight grandchildren, Nathan, Jonathan, Samuel, Margaret Ruth, Jedidiah and Rachel Ives and Garrett and Allison Page. He also leaves many other loving relatives and a host of friends. 

A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 9 to 10 AM at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service Chapel.   Interment will be 1:00 PM at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery with military honors on Thursday.
