Emily Rose King

July 18, 1937 — March 22, 2014

Emily Rose King, a resident of Sapulpa, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the age of 76. She was born July 18, 1937 to Charlie Micco King and Lilly Belle (Starr) King in Henryetta, Oklahoma. She graduated from Graham High School and attended the Chilocco Indian Agricultural School with honors in 1954. She went on to attend Northeastern State College in Tahlequah, OSU in Okmulgee and Tulsa Junior College in Tulsa, where she was on the Honor Roll at each college. She was member of the Thewarle Indian Baptist Church in Dustin. She enjoyed doing genealogy, visiting different churches and she loved to eat. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Micco and Lilly Belle King; daughter, Gwendolyn Sue Bunny Wallace; sister, Veronica Scott and brothers, Alfred Berryhill and Charles Edward King. Survivors include her two children, Monty Bunny of Sapulpa and Faren Bunny of Glenpool; brother, Bob King and wife, Anna of Tulsa; three grandchildren, Josh Bunny, Cheyenne Bunny and Sally Miller Thompson; nieces, Donna Marie Scott, Tonya Scott Renoud, Karen Tottn and Beverly Ayers; numerous other great nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Wake Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at the Tallahassee Indian Methodist Church in Okmulgee. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the Tallahassee Indian Methodist Church with Reverend Sammy Chupco and Reverend Charles Enloe officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta under the direction of the Jackson Funeral Home and Crematory in Okmulgee. Pallbearers will be Josh Bunny, Monty Bunny, Faren Bunny, Kenneth Berryhill, David Luna and James Jones. Honorary Pallbearer will be Bob King.
