Elizabeth Carr

January 18, 1927 — February 6, 2020

Elizabeth Sue Carr, age 93 passed away on February 6, 2020 in Porter, TX. She was the wife of Clarence Everett Carr, Sr. who preceded her in death in 2019. They shared 63 years of marriage together.

Born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Bennie Irwin Blevins and Audie (Tillman) Blevins. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and retired from OSU Tech in Okmulgee.

She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Okmulgee until relocating to Porter, Texas to be near family.

She will be remembered for her gracious and welcoming nature, playing sudoku, and enduring love for her husband and family. She was an excellent cook and loved to feed her guests the minute they entered her home.

She is survived by three children: her daughter, Karen Elizabeth Hunt and her husband Larry David Hunt of Albuquerque, N.M., son, Clarence Everett Carr, Jr. and his wife Sandra (Young) Carr of Peoria, Ill., and daughter Patricia Lynne Roberts and her husband Gregory Dean Roberts of Kingwood, Texas; seven grandchildren: Ryan Hunt, Samantha Roberts, Taylor Roberts, Aleen (Carr) Jacobson, Rebekah Carr, Clarence Carr III, and Alan Hunt; and four great-grandchildren: Liam Hunt, Serenity Hunt, Cora Roberts and Celine Roberts.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at the Okmulgee Cemetery.
