Earl J. Butcher

Earl J. Butcher was born in Madill, OK on January 24, 1935 to Earl Lee and Ida Mae Butcher. He grew up in Sand Springs where he was very active in several sports programs. He passed away in Tulsa on May 6, 2016. Prior to his death, he was retired from American Airlines and lived in Owasso.

Earl is preceded in death by his parents and eight brothers and sisters. He is survived by his brother Harold Butcher, sister Luetta Hayes, wife Ladine Butcher, four children - Sharie Jackson, Rick Butcher, Mike Butcher, Karen Schooley; twelve grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Earl excelled in athletics, served in the military, was a faithful fan of OU sports, and was a devoted family man. He will be missed by his family, friends and former classmates.

Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM, Thursday, May 12, 2015 at Woodland Cemetery in Sand Springs by the Schaudt-Teel Funeral Home and Reverend Alan McBroom. www.tulsafuneral.com.
