Duana Arlene Varner

Barbara Fostena Stidham, a resident of Okmulgee, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the age of 79. She was born Wednesday, December 9, 1931 to Paul Clifton Collins and Beatrice Hilda Nixon in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. On March 1951, she married Richard Thearn Redfearn in Ft. Lee, Virginia. She had worked for over 35 years with SWB and AT&T, where she retired. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by Richard T. Redfearn; parents, Paul Clifton Collins and Beatrice Hilda Nixon; nephew, Michael Lee Messinger; brother-in-law: Robert Lloyd Messinger; granddaughter, Brenda Elizabeth Redfearn; grandfather, James Carpenter Nixon; grandmother, Tina Edna Rose Nixon; grandfather, Kenny Monrow Collins; grandmother, Otley Gertrude Spuce; uncles, Tom, Sydney, John, William and Frank Collins and Cecil Pruce Gibbs; aunts, Shirley, Leome and Omey Collins, Mildred Nixon William and Saw Zuma Nixon Gibbs. Survivors include her son, Clifton Jay Redfearn and wife, Glenda Marie; daughter, Elizabeth Redfearn Haynes; sister, Rose Elizabeth Andrews and husband, James; granddaughter, Kira Redfearn Lambillotte; grandson, Clifton J. Redfearn; great granddaughter, Haven Lore Thomas; great granddaughter, Payton Xoei Williamson; great grandson Christian Freeman; nieces, Sherry Messinger, Vicky Messinger, infant Messinger and other numerous nieces and cousins. Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee.
