Dorothy Ann Sims

October 16, 1933 — February 8, 2021

Dorothy Ann Sims died unexpectedly February 8, 2021 at the Springs Nursing Home, Muskogee Oklahoma.  She was born on October 16, 1933 in Beggs, Oklahoma, the daughter of Arthur E. and Elva (Davidson) Wiles.  

Dorothy graduated Beggs High School, class of 1951 and earned an associate degree at Oklahoma State Tech.  Dorothy was married 66 years to her high school sweetheart, Logan W. Sims who served in the United States Air Force.  Following retirement from the Air Force, Logan and Dorothy settled in Okmulgee where they were active members of the Second Baptist Church.  

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Logan W. Sims, and her brother Perry Wiles.  Those left to cherish her memory include her brother, David Wiles of South Carolina, daughters Nancy Freeman and her husband Mike of Muskogee, Oklahoma; Paula Sims of Snohomish, Washington; her son Mark E. Sims and his wife Carol of Morris, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.  

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February, 10, 2021 at Schaudt's Funeral Service from 5:000 - 7:00 PM. A remembrance service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Schaudt Okmulgee Funeral Service. Arrangement are entrusted to Schaudt's Funeral Service, 220 S Alabama, Okmulgee, Oklahoma.
