Donald Richard Goodson

Donald Richard Goodson age 81 passed away Monday, May 17, 2010 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Don was born November 20, 1928 in Baxter Springs, Kansas to Charles and Bernice (Rundell) Goodson. The family moved to Pryor, Oklahoma where they lived until Don enlisted in the United States Navy on his 17th birthday in 1945. In 1950 he signed with the United States Army and Air Force Reserves (1965). He fought in World War II and the Korean War. Don was awarded the Purple Heart and was honorably discharged June 1, 1955. He retired from all the branches of the military in the early 80's. Don and his wife, Cherry Goodson owned and operated Don and Cherry's Supperclub in Langley, Oklahoma. Several years later Don moved back to Pryor to be close to his aging mother. Don married April (Bailey) on August 2, 2001 in Memphis, TN. Don was proceded in death by his parents: Charles and Bernice Goodson and his only brother: J. R. Ferris.
He is survived by his wife: April Goodson of Broken Arrow; his daughter: Donna Sue Cunningham; two grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
Graveside services are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Fairview Cemetery in Pryor, Oklahoma.
