David Lucus

David Wayne Lucus, 65 passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. David was born to Benny and Mildred (Croslin) Lucus on January 31, 1956 in Morris, Oklahoma.
David grew up in Liberty Morris and Glenpool. He worked through Show in Sapulpa, shredding papers, recycling, and office cleaning. David loved balloons, pennies, and anything that went boom or pow such as guns and fireworks. He took an interest in lawn mowers and fishing. David loved people and he never met a stranger. He also enjoyed listening to country music; Johnny Cash was his favorite singing "I'll Walk the Line and Ring of Fire."
David is preceded in death by his parents Benny and Mildred, brother Benny Lucus, Jr., Richard Lucus, Homer Eugene Lucus, and Leon Croslin.
Those that are survived by David are his siblings Janet Lucus of Tulsa, Della Gordan of Okmulgee, Jim Story of Nuyaka, and Joyce Henderson and husband Fred of Nuyaka, and a host of nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the staff of Brighter days Margie, Carrisa, Brenda, Debbie, Cheyanne, and Lisa.
A graveside service for David will be held 10:00am Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the Morris Cemetery with Pastor Ronald Martin to officiate. Interment will follow. A visitation is set for Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the Schaudt Okmulgee's Funeral Service Chapel from 5:00 pm until 7:00pm.
