Dale Wayne Woodruff

Dale Wayne Woodruff, a long-time Glenpool resident, died Dec. 29th, 2019 after a short battle with cancer. Services will be held graveside at Hogan Cemetery in Locust Grove on January 6th at 1 pm.

Dale was born Sept. 8th, 1943 to parents Cressie (Dick) and Virginia Woodruff of Locust Grove. After high school, he entered the Army and fought in Vietnam. Upon his return, Dale attended Rogers State University then became a police officer and served multiple cities for over 20 years. He later worked as Chief of Security for the William Warren Foundation for another 20 years. Dale was an avid hunter, any OU Sooner men’s or women’s sporting event, Dallas Cowboy Football fan and car enthusiast, attending car shows with his 1983 DeLorean and drag racing his 1979 Camaro.

Dale is survived by his children: Devon Woodruff, Stacy Schmuck, Brad and wife Courtney Woodruff, and Bonnie Woody and husband Wade. Also, niece Debra Feliciano, 10 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandson. He is preceded in death by parents Dick and Virginia Woodruff, brother Donald Leroy Woodruff, and daughter Bess Woodruff.
