Charles Robert Simpson

Charles Robert Simpson Sr. was born September 6th, 1939 to Robert and Ardith (Hammontree) Simpson in Keyes, Oklahoma. He graduated Keyes High School, home of the Pirates, in 1957 going on to join the United States Navy in September of 1960. He served his country proudly on the USS Midway until he completed his service in September 1966.
Charles furthered his education, attending OSU IT in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, earning 3 degrees and graduating in the early 70's. He began working at General Telephone Company soon after his college career was complete and ended up retiring from General Telephone. He also retired from Lowes, in Amarillo, Texas.
Charles loved music! He had his own band off and on for many years. He loved to perform and sing to the crowds, packing many a dance floor! Always ready with a joke or a song,
"Charlie" was greatly loved and will be missed!
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Patty Armer, nephew Bruce Armer, grandson Blain Boaldin, and his companion of 44 years and mother to his daughter Kasandra, Mary Ann Hanson.
Left to Cherish his memory is Daughter Tese Boaldin of Elkhart, Kansas, Son Charles Simpson Jr and wife Tina of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Daughter Kasandra Simpson of Amarillo, Texas, and Adopted Daughter Melanie Brannum and husband Terry of Amarillo, Texas. He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren as well as a host of family and friends.
Pall Bearers: Melvin Paul Hammontree, Randy Eslinger, Ray Eslinger, Ronnie Armer, Charlie Armer, and Terry Brannum
Service will be held graveside at 1:00PM January 5, 2022 at Willowbar Cemetery in Keyes, Oklahoma.
