Charles James Baker

Mr. Charles J. Baker peacefully passed on Saturday, March 20, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was surrounded by his wife Panthea and children Panthea "Pj", Samantha, and Charles "Chas".

Chuck was born to Jack William and Jocelyn Baker on June 1, 1956 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was the oldest of five children and an Eagle Scout.

After high school, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps where he served as a Military Police Officer. Chuck continued his career in law enforcement with the City of Mesa Police Department where he retired after 20 years of service. After retirement, he spent time working for the Pinal County Attorney's office in Florence, Arizona as an Investigator.

Charles was a loving and doting husband, father, and grandfather. He was a man of integrity and generosity until the very end with his final gift of organ donation.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Panthea Dawn Baker (Caldwell); children: Bryan Baker, Panthea "Pj" Baker-Peele, Shaun Baker, Darcy Patton (Baker), Samantha Baker, and Charles "Chas" Baker II; his seven grandsons Jacob Baker, Aiden Baker, Roman Baker, Dominic Baker, Devin Peele, Jaxon Baker, and Jason Peele; granddaughter McKinzie Baker; Parents Jack William and Jocelyn Baker; sister Dorinda Anderson (Mark) and brother Douglas Baker; along with four nieces and their children.

He is preceded in death by his youngest brother Bradley Baker, and youngest sister Jeanne Baker.


Services for Mr Charles Baker will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at 12:00 PM at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery at 02:00 PM in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
