Charles Freddie Brown

March 5, 1936 — April 29, 2023

Charles Freddie Brown, 87, of Jenks, Oklahoma, passed away on April 29th, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Fred was born at home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on March 5, 1936, to parents William Elzie Brown and Eva Lee (Stubblefield) Brown.

He attended Webster High School in West Tulsa until age 14 when he was made to begin working at Safeway Foods, where he worked for 17 years. He then worked as a salesman for Sears, retiring after 25 years. He became an ordained minister and was Pastor of a few local churches, including Living Water Fellowship and Christchurch. He also stayed active by driving a school bus for Jenks Public Schools for six years.

Fred was preceded in death by his father and mother, brothers Raymond, Wallace, Virgil, and Jimmy, and sisters Lennelee and Wilda. He is survived by his wife Cynthia and daughters Kim (Randy) McDaniel Pam (Randy) Robison; and stepsons Adam (Angela) Lopez and Tim (April) Lopez; and grandchildren Brandon and Mandy Deaver, Erin Powell, Shannon Beck, Carter, Simon, and Lilian Lopez, and Alexis Johnson and Emily Lopez, and great-grandsons Joshua Deaver, Brayden Deaver, Mikel Blish, and Cooper Williams. He also leaves behind many extended family and close friends he cherished so deeply.

While we are heartbroken at the sudden loss of Fred, we know he has been rewarded with eternal life in heaven with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He no longer feels the pain of an aging body and is reuniting and rejoicing with all who went before him and whom he missed so much.
