Carolyn Jo Pryor Hill

Carolyn Jo Pryor Hill, a longtime resident of Okmulgee, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at the age of 70 years, 3 months and 6 days. She was born Sunday, December 24, 1939 to Emmett and Imogene (Fender) Pryor in Stroud, Oklahoma. She worked her entire life as a purchasing agent in the aviation industry. Carol was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Stroud and an animal activist. Carol was a loving mother, sister and grandmother and she loved spending time with her family. Eventhough she was fighting a very vigilant battle with cancer, she was taken unexpectedly away from us but we know that she has been reunited with her loved ones in Heaven and is once again holding “Our Lil' Huckleberry Kade” in her arms. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Kade Hill. Survivors include her daughter, Jeanna Branson-Duckworth and Guy of Nuyaka; three sons, Terry Mullen and wife, Susan of Haskell, James Phillip Hill and wife, Dawn of Chandler, Arizona and Brian Hill and wife, Lisa of Owasso;father of her children, Proctor Mullen and James Hill; five grandchildren, Brandon Hill and wife, Kacey; Jaide, Jordon and Jessica Mullen and Jacob Branson; one great granddaughter, Kiah Hill; sister, Jeannie Morris of Lake Tahoe, Nevada; brother, Lynn Pryor and wife, Mary Linda of Anchorage, Alaska and numerous cousins and friends. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 5, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church in Stroud with Reverend Matt Scraper officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Stroud Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Kelley Funeral and Cremation Service of Okmulgee.
