Alta Irene Looney passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021. Alta Irene Lomenick was born on November 19, 1929, to Henry and Lola Velma Lomenick in Oilton, Oklahoma where she grew up and graduated from Oilton High School.

Alta was married on March 5, 1949 to Gene Looney and together they had four children; Joe, Paul, Paula and Kathi.

Gene and Alta were members of Woodland Acres Baptist Church where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school classes. She worked for many years as an Insurance Underwriter for Carl M. Leonard and Son Insurance Company.

Alta was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gene, her precious daughter Kathi, three brothers; Paul, Sam and Carl Lomenick, and one sister, Anna Mae Baker.

She is survived by three children; Joe Looney and his wife Joan, daughter Paula Dupree, and son Paul Looney, son-in-law David Archer and grandchildren Sara (Dean) Palmer, Zack (Jade) Archer; Joey Looney, and Jennifer (Dan) Willard, and eleven great grandchildren; Ethan, Caleb, Kayla, Penny, Franklin, Elijah, Katie, Reese, Owen, KK and Elizabeth, all of whom she loved very much.

A Memorial Service will be held 10:00AM Friday, May 21, 2021 at Woodland Acres Baptist Church, 5511 S. Harvard Avenue, Tulsa, OK 74135.
