Alfred C. Frampton, Jr and the late Barbara Garold (Wetzel) Frampton. He graduated from Marquette High School, Tulsa, in 1953 where he met, and later married, Maralee (Layman) Waidner, the mother of his seven children.

Al graduated from the University of Tulsa with a B.S. in Geology in 1959. He was president of Empire Construction Co, Tulsa, until 1978. He then founded Alron Construction and grew that company with his second wife, Doris (Hyatt) Frampton.

Al was an avid golfer. He also loved skiing, hiking, tennis, running, camping and cycling as well as caring for homeless cats. He ran numerous marathons throughout the US. Al loved nature and thrived on sharing this love with others. He sought out places where he could enjoy the beauty and magnificence of unique landscapes. Together, they hiked Mt. Elbert, the highest summit in Colorado. Al and Monika also joined the Peace Corp in 1988 and spent two months in the Philippines, until it was no longer safe. The couple had many adventures during their 33 years together.
